How It Works

Who Can Compete?
Businesses, organizations, professionals, professional offices and clinics, individual donors, friend groups, work-friend groups, nonprofits, clubs, and community groups. In other words, ANYONE!

Step 1: Accept the Challenge (Donate)

Accept the Challenge by making a $100 Donation to the Grand Challenge Donation Link.
Step 2: Post & Nominate

Post on Facebook: Share our Challenge Post (coming Oct 1st) OR create your own post with a group picture or video. Get creative! Use Our Sign, or dress in purple to recognize domestic violence awareness.

In the post, announce you have accepted the Grand Challenge, tag us (Saline County Safe Haven) and tag at least 3 businesses, business owners, or potential donors you think will join the challenge.

If you were nominated to participate, be sure to tag and thank that business or individual too.
Step 3: Keep it Growing

Celebrate participants: Like their announcement post(s), thank them for their participation, support their business, etc.

Tell your friends, family, and favorite businesses about the challenge.
Increase your winning odds by:

Calling businesses in advance to ask them to participate. They must name you as their nominator for you to receive a point!

Earn 1 Point when a business/donor/individual lists your business/you as their nominator. The same business may not donate 5 times or $500 to earn multiple points.

We will have a few challenges throughout the competition to gain Bonus Entries, so follow our Facebook Page and turn on notifications!

Earn 1 Bonus Entry when a new Challenger or Ambassador lists your business/you as their nominator. The same Challenger or Ambassador may not submit multiple forms, or donate multiple times to earn multiple points. Limit ONE entry per Individual/Ambassador/Business/Donor.
*Businesses and Groups: Some of the prizes are sharable so if your business wins, you have the option to divide the prizes amongst your team or have an in-house competition of your own. However, responsibility of division is left on the business, not Safe Haven.

Federal funding (VOCA) cuts have forced many DV organizations across the nation to close their doors. We can’t let that happen here. Safe Haven is far too important to our community. We support women and children in need from all over the state and occasionally across the US. Funds raised through the GRAND Challenge will bridge the gap between significantly reduced government support and the growing cost of keeping Safe Haven’s essential services available as demand continues to rise.
